Self-Guided Engadin XC Ski Traverse: Overview
The Engadin Valley is well known for its stunning landscape of forests and frozen lakes, as well as its 280km of groomed tracks. The huge network of cross country trails means there's a wide variety of Nordic skiing, to suit skiers of every level, including both classic skiing and skating style.
What to expect
On this trip we will cover a distance of over 100km over the course of 5 days. The trails are groomed daily and offer relatively easy to moderate skiing but participants will need to have experience of cross country track skiing, and to have mastered a controlled snowplough for any steeper descents we might encounter. You will also need a good level of fitness, as we will ski for several hours each day. If you have any questions at all about whether this trip is right for you, just ask.
We will stay in local hotels with good facilities, and there is luggage delivery every day, so we will only need to carry our daypacks while skiing.
Engadin Ski Marathon Race Week
We are also running a special version of this trip to coincide with the Marathon event. It includes race training and entry to the event itself. We will adapt our itinerary to incorporate training and exploring days, culminating in taking part in this epic ski race. Discover our Engadin Marathon Training Week here.
